Here is a collection
of first udders from does that I was or am evaluating. I have tried
to scale them similarly to facilitate comparison. Unlike many udder
photos you will see, I don't crop just above the widest part of
the udder to make it look as high as possible in the rear; I crop
all my udder pictures so that the tip of the vulva is just at the
top edge of the photo, so the relative heights of the rear udders
can be compared.
I have my opinions
on these, but right or wrong, some stayed another year for a second
look, some left immediately, and some will be here until they die!
Of the ones that stayed, some got better, some got worse. And of
course I know that there is more to an udder than the rear view.
Some of the images will give you a 2nd udder shot if you roll your
mouse over the image.
